ASEAN University Network
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) comprises ten member states, to which Thailand belongs. The ASEAN University Network “serves as a platform for leading ASEAN higher education institutions to work together to reach new heights” through these goals:
- Advancing Curriculums and Learning Approaches
- Assuring Quality in Higher Education
- Developing Student Skill Through Cross-Border Exposure and Experiences
- Promoting and Cultivating Academic and Research Cooperation
- Serving as a Platform for Networking
Leaders from the ASEAN University Network will give a presentation during the Opening Session on Monday, June 23, 2025, including sharing information about quality assurance efforts across the Network. They will also help to facilitate the optional site visit to Chulalongkorn University.
Chulalongkorn University
On the morning of Wednesday, June 25, 2025, conference attendees who have signed up to attend the optional site visit will travel via BTS Skytrain from The Westin Grande Sukhumvit, Bangkok to Chulalongkorn University. According to their website, Chulalongkorn University “is Thailand’s first institution of higher learning, dedicating itself as a center for academic learning and professional excellence” and focuses on three core principles: preparing future leaders, developing impactful research and innovations, and advocating social sustainability. The site visit will include a brief tour, remarks from university leaders, and interactions with colleagues involved in quality assurance efforts, all facilitated by the ASEAN University Network, which has its base of operations at Chulalongkorn University.
Indiana University's Global Gateway in Bangkok
