2025 Call for Proposals
We would like to extend to you and your colleagues an invitation to submit a proposal for the 2025 Assessment Institute in Indianapolis, held October 26–28, 2025, at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown. The Institute is the oldest and largest U.S. event focused on assessing and improving higher education.
Please consider submitting a proposal on or before the priority deadline of Friday, February 28, 2025. We would be particularly pleased to receive proposals addressing any of the General Session Topics listed in the bullet points below.
The Assessment Institute is partnering with Research & Practice in Assessment (RPA), an online journal, to identify select sessions to be considered for the RPA Best Scholarly Presentation Award. Please see information below for details on how to be considered for this award.

Assessment Institute Proposal Development Information Session:
Consider attending this 45-minute Zoom-based information session to learn how to develop a proposal for the 2025 Assessment Institute, including information on the RPA Best Scholarly Presentation Award:

Call for Proposal Submission Guidelines:
- All proposals and edits to previously completed proposals should be submitted online no later than 11:59 PM on Friday, February 28, 2025, which is our priority deadline for proposal receipt. We will accommodate additional proposals beyond this date as program space permits.
- You may submit multiple proposals; however, due to limited space not all proposals are guaranteed to be accepted.
- Please review the RPA Presentation Award Rubric before submitting your proposal. If you would like your presentation considered for the RPA's Best Scholarly Presentation Award, you should check the box for consideration when completing your proposal submission. If you do not wish to have your proposal considered, please do not check this box.
- The coordinating/main presenter will receive an email confirming that the proposal was successfully submitted.
- Preference will be given in the selection process to those proposals that include information about assessment findings and their use to improve student learning and/or institutional processes or services.
- If your proposal is accepted for a presentation at the Institute, all presenters are expected to pay registration fees and will need to register for the Institute via the Institute website.
- Proposal status notifications will be sent via email to the coordinating/main presenter listed on the proposal in April 2025.
