Generative AI (GenAI) Survey for Higher Education Assessment Professionals
In advance of the 2025 Assessment Institute in Indianapolis, a Bonus Virtual Preview Session was held as a complimentary offering open to all members of the higher education community. Ruth Slotnick and Joanna Boeing from Bridgwater State University and Bobbijo Pinnelli from Walden University shared findings from recent administrations of the Generative AI (GenAI) Survey for Higher Education Assessment Professionals. Attendees learned insights from assessment professionals on the adoption, application, and implications of GenAI in higher education assessment practices.
In addition to the Bonus Preview Session, the Assessment Institute launced a GenAI Community of Practice (CoP) in 2025. The GenAI CoP provides professional development opportunities for its members, including access to guest speakers and subject-matter-experts involved in the rapidly developing arena of GenAI.
