Assessment and Improvement in Higher Education
Book Series
About the Series
Produced by organizers of the Assessment Institute in Indianapolis, the oldest and largest U.S. event focused on assessing and improving higher education, this series provides readers the principles, practices, and perspectives related to assessment and improvement within the broader higher education ecosystem. Approaches to assessment and improvement can occur in any collegiate context in which goals can be established, evidence-informed interventions can be implemented to achieve goals, outcomes of interventions can be assessed, and ongoing improvements can be made as a result of assessment findings. Series titles reflect both enduring issues and emerging opportunities—informed by research and scholarship—to enhance professional practice for the wide range of practitioners involved in higher education assessment and improvement. Titles in the series will include a focus on:

- Fostering inclusive environments to provide welcoming contexts for all learners.
- Implementing innovative instruction to enhance learning experiences.
- Facilitating engaged learning in curricular, co-curricular, community, and experiential settings
